Acupuncture is at least 2000 years old health care system originating from China.<\/p>\n

It considers physical, emotional and mental aspects of \u00a0a person and focuses on the individual rather than the illness.<\/p>\n

Traditional Acupuncturists see all diseases as energy ( Chi) disruptions in the body. Insertion of fine sterile acupuncture needles into specific points corrects the flow of energy (Chi) and activates body’s healing response.\"\"<\/p>\n

The Chinese ancients mapped out an incredibly complex lattice-work of energy lines that go along the surface and into the body and internal organs, with hundreds of points on these lines, and each point having a particular way of curing disease. For example, a point between your 1st two toes can make your liver energy move, while a point between your 2nd two toes can reduce ‘fire’ in the stomach, and has an almost miraculous ability to reduce or stop toothache in the lower jaw.<\/p>\n

Scientific research suggests that Acupuncture stimulates the nerves in the brain and spinal cord releasing hormones such as serotonin and body’s own \u00a0pain killers. But this doesn’t explain the incredible complex way acupuncture works. In fact the anciaent Chinese theory really does a much better job!<\/p>\n

Doctors are now less and less asking ‘what is Acupuncture?’ and more and more just accepting the practice of Acupuncture, particularly for treatment of pain.<\/p>\n
